Britain's most famous porn star Ben Dover reveals he is battling bladder cancer
BRITAIN’S best known porn star, Ben Dover, has revealed he is battling bladder cancer.
The adult star, who is the father of Outnumbered actor Tyger Drew-Honey, admits the illness has left him “very weak and tired” but vowed to battle it.
The 60-year-old, whose real name is Simon Honey but now uses the name Lindsay, said: “I’m going through chemotherapy. It has made me very weak and tired.
“Hopefully I will be OK but you can never tell. They are doing more tests so fingers crossed basically that is all we can do.
“It has really knocked me and Tyger back. I’ve already had two operations and need more chemo to nip it in the bud before it goes through the wall.
“I’m trying everything. I’ve got six weeks ahead of me followed by more tests.
“If it doesn’t work they will have to take my bladder out but I seriously hope that isn’t going to happen.”
Tyger who is his only child from his marriage to porn actress Linzi Drew has been left devastated by the news as he is particularly close to his dad and often talks with pride about his choice of career.
His career has seen him on screen in more than 130 explicit movies and direct more than 120.
He has become one of the world’s best known names in pornography and boasts a host of top industry awards for his work – including a Lifetime Achievement Award and the UK Adult Film Awards.
In 2011 he was inducted into the Adult Video News Hall of Fame – and was previously married to fellow adult actress Linzi Drew.

The actor added: “I’ve been having my treatment St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey near my Surrey home.
“Tyger was devastated when I told him and a bit fraught but we will get through. We went to Austria skiing last month to celebrate his 21st before I get too weak to ski.
“But Tyger and I are positive people so hopefully we can win this battle together.”
Lindsay has continued to work in the industry, including appearing as Lord Grab’em in a 2014 parody of period drama Downton Abbey titled Down on Abby.
Actor Tyger, 21, has insisted he had no shame about his parents’ occupation after they spoke openly about it during his upbringing, but admits he was bullied at school as a consequence.
He recently made a documentary on the subject, and had sexual intercourse with a robot for the BBC3 show The Virtual Reality Virgin.
