Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville bring Mahiki nightclub to city

IN HIS playing days, RYAN GIGGS would have got told off for partying until the early hours.

But now he is free from SIR ALEX FERGUSON’s hairdryer treatment, the Manchester United legend is becoming a nightclub owner — with former team-mate GARY NEVILLE.

The pair have struck a deal to bring PRINCE HARRY’s favourite London spot Mahiki to Manchester.

The business partners, who also developed Hotel Football near Old Trafford, celebrated their big signing in London just hours before watching their beloved United get stuffed 4-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Manchester Mahiki will be located in their new development called St Michael’s, which also features a five-star hotel, apartments, offices and restaurants.

A source said: “Ryan and Gary have been in talks for months with the team behind Mahiki. They believe it will add some extra class to their property empire in Manchester.

“It’s also clearly going to become a hotbed for footballers in the north-west, so some of the bar bills are going to be huge.”

Mahiki has been the go-to haunt for caner celebs, with GIRLS ALOUD big fans in the Noughties and, more recently, ONE DIRECTION, LITTLE MIX and Made in Chelsea stars splashing the cash inside.

Sky Sports pundit Gary, who himself said he wouldn’t usually be “associated with nightclubs” when discussing plans for St Michael’s, is focusing on his businesses after quitting as England’s assistant boss in the wake of the Three Lions’ disastrous results at the Euros in June.

James is a ledgend

TWO years after SIMON COWELL axed him from his label, JAMES ARTHUR has made up with the X Factor boss, re-signed to Syco and become the biggest-selling British singles artist of 2016.

So it is fitting that his comeback album Back From The Edge, which is out on Friday, is all about redemption.

The punchy opening track of the same name spells it out: “Back from the dead, back from the demons that took control of my head.”

On Phoenix he sings about rising from the ashes and on Prisoner he compares his last two years to a jail sentence.

As well as cathartic tracks, the album is littered with love songs. Can I Be Him is straight from ED SHEERAN’s textbook of guitar ballads.

And James’s vocals have never sounded better. Another No1 beckons to cap off an amazing year.

Ben's iron plan

THE formerly skinny star of Sherlock, BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH, didn’t put in gruelling hours pumping iron just to look buff for his role in superhero flick Doctor Strange.

The star has revealed he used the movie as a means to get in shape for a far more important role – becoming a dad again.

In an exclusive interview at the Doctor Strange and GQ launch party at Westminster Abbey on Monday, Benedict confirmed he and wife Sophie Turner are expecting a second child.

He said: “The physical regime helped. That wasn’t just for the obligatory shirt-off moment. It was keeping healthy for my new family."

I told last year how Benedict hit the gym to join the ranks of existing Marvel tanks, including CHRIS HEMSWORTH’s Thor, CHRIS EVANS’ Captain America and HUGH JACKMAN’s Wolverine.

And he won’t give up his Hollywood career to become a full-time dad, vowing: “I’ll carry on.”

Gaga is unstuck

LADY GAGA’s stylist is taking extreme measures to stop her suffering from a wardrobe malfunction.

The singer’s new fashion secret involves GLUEING her pants to her privates so everything stays in place.

Gaga, pictured during her appearance on Saturday Night Live, said: “My stylist Brandon from time to time will glue my underwear to my... without asking.

“I was glued on Saturday Night Live and I didn’t even know. Then I went to the bathroom and I’m like, ‘I can’t get my underwear off’.

Lewis is a dye-hard

LEWIS HAMILTON is a big fan of tattoos, so he won’t have been expecting this when Epson said they wanted to ink him for their new advert.

The Formula One star was doused in buckets of colourful dye, pictured, to promote their new printer.

Lewis said: “Having 400 litres of ink thrown at me was a new experience, so I just went with it.

“The output’s really cool.”

But Aussie actress Nicole was determined to make a statement on the red carpet, particularly as she was there to pick up the Style Icon award.

Still surprised she was even nominated, she said: “My kids were like, ‘Where are you going?’ I said, ‘To get a style award’. They were like, ‘What?’”

Thankfully her fashion sense has come a long way since her own childhood.

Nicole explained: “My mom made all my clothes when I was a little girl.

“It was a train wreck when I was ten, 11, 12, so I think I’ve just evolved as I’ve grown up. And now I probably have a far more, I would say, classical style with a bit of a twist.”
