THE gluten-free market has boomed in recent years. Latest figures show sales have reached £3.5billion, with some experts saying it improves cholesterol, promotes digestive health and increases energy levels.

Here’s our selection of gluten-free advent calendars, while we also go festive with beauty.

Health

with Nina McCue

A mixture of green, herbal and fruit, the 24 tea sachets are a brilliant way to test new flavours without spending a fortune. Peppermint and liquorice was particularly nice and is apparently good to beat the bloat after over-indulging. Plus the bags are plastic free.

This all-natural calendar provides a festive sugar rush to all, as it is vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.

With a full-sized treat in every beautifully designed drawer, you get your money’s worth.

I was dubious they would be satisfying but I was surprised. My fave was the Salted Caramel Million squares. Delicious!

For a healthy countdown, these are protein balls free from guilt, gluten and sugar.

With eight different flavours and a festive Christmas ball, the lemon and pistachio are especially good.

Budget

This offers six own-brand products in a box, counting you down from Boxing Day to New Year’s Eve.

Includes retinol toner, golden glow mask, cleanser, facial moisturiser and oil. A great intro to Aldi’s range, and a lovely Christmas gift.

Mid

A traditional advent calendar.

Contains a wide variety of beauty goodies from Studio London including primer, lip gloss, eyeshadow, mascara, a make-up brush and a beauty blender.

Gorgeous presentation box. This is great value for money and I’d definitely recommend it.

Luxury

Filled with 24 deluxe and full-sized hair, beauty and skincare surprises, with brands such as Huda Beauty and Aveda as well as NYX and Barry M. Presented in a holographic box, the contents are worth a staggering £256 so this is worth every penny! My favourite.
